Chrissy worked as a waitress and other jobs to support herself while she tried to get into the music business. In 1973, Chrissy moved to London and it was there that she met rock and roll journalists named Nick Kent. Chrissy tried and failed to put together a band in London she moved back to Ohio in 1975.
But a year later she returned to France and tried again, she was back in London and during that time the music was punk music over in Europe.

Chrissy formed the band the Pretenders and they struggled a little at first but eventually became of one of the best bands in history.
Some of their hits include, Chain Gang, I’ll Stand by You and Brass in Pocket. Chrissy is now an animal activist and a supporter of Peta.
The Pretenders saw a lot of changes, band members came and went but Chrissy is the only original member left.
Chrissy has an edge to her music that most female rockers don’t have. Her music is a mix of punk and new wave.
